The wines of Cabardès come from land north of Carcassonne and west of Minervois. It is viticulturally speaking where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. The wines are quite different from other wines in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, they have the influence of the ocean and that is why Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are allowed to be mixed with Grenache and Syrah. Presented in a smart bottle the wine has layers of red fruit flavours, it is dark purple and has smooth, soft tannins.
