Situated on the southwest facing slope of the Lay Valley at the southern tip of the Loire Valley, the property of the Mourat family has been under vine since the Roman times.  Like all of the Vendée this area is warm and sunny and being so close to the ocean ensures perfect dry conditions.  This Pinot Noir is firm and juicy with a touch of crunchy cherries on the palate.  A great discovery.
