The word is out, there is no longer any secret involving this wine. Before locals would hail this Sauvignon Blanc, from near the banks of the Cher, as a wine that compares favourably with the more prestigious Sauvignon Blancs a few kilometres further east. This is still the case, but unlike Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé, this region maintains its excellent value. There is perfect balance of fruit with notes of apple and lime and the crispness that offers such a refreshing finish. Drink it with or without food and enjoy.
