Domaine de PerdrycourtChablis 200710.00 € (equiv 13.33 €/Ltr)12.5 % Alc/VolThis wine is classic Chablis. Produced by Arlette and Virginie Courty, mother and daughter, and we should not forget the son who cares for the vines, Rémi and I guess, Roger the father, merits a mention as well for planting the vines, relatively not that long ago, in 1986. Altogether a family run affair. It is often an appellation that lacks character. Due to the high demand of this globally famous wine that is a by-word for the sophisticated, dry white drunk by the well-to-do, quantity is the priority rather than quality for many of the better known producers. Which makes finding this wine even more of a delight. This wine has a tantalising colour, pale yellow with hints of lime green. The aromas are well defined and benefit from a swirl or two. The freshness and flavours of white fruits and almonds just leave you want another sip. A truly delightful drink which can to be enjoyed as an aperitif or with freshwater fish. A with the Partridge on the label this family deserve all the luck they get.
