Ordering
Q: Do I have to order in multiples of 6?
A: No not at all. You can order any number of bottles however it is recommended to fill a box as this, with the packing, offers better security, to stop the bottles breaking, if you opt to have your order to be delivered.
Q: Can I order a mixed case?
A: Absolutely, every item is available by the unit. That way you can have some tasters. There may be a promotion where do you need by the six, but this will be clearly marked.
Q: Can I get a printable list?
A: Not at the moment. We are working one this and should be available soon. We can easily email you copy if get in touch.
Q: There are lots of wines I have not heard of, can I get further advice?
A: With pleasure, it is what we like doing. If you need any help in choosing; food matching, wins suitable for parties, wedding wines then just send us an email at contact@blakeneys.com.
Q: How will I know if you have received my order?
A: You will get notification by email that your order has been received and that the wines are in stock. If you do not receive this email it is either your order has not been registered or you have entered incorrectly your email address.
Q: What if I make a mistake with my order?
A: You will have to contact us by email at contact@blakeneys.com within 24 hours. We will then change your order.
Payment
Q: Can I pay by cheque?
A: Yes for sure. There is the option in the checkout procedure. The cheque should be made payable to Blakeney Wines SARL and it has to be in Euros. If you would like to pay by cheque please write your order number on the back and post it to the following address:

Q: Is payment online secure?
A: We use the highest level of technology to keep your transaction secure allowing you to purchase from our site with confidence. During your transaction you will be directly connected to the servers of Banque CIC. No information is transmitted to our servers and Blakeneys does not store any information.
Q: When will you debit my account?
A: Your account will be debited the day we receive your order.
Delivery
Q: Do you have a bricks and mortar shop?
A: Yes and no. The ordering and purchases need to be made online via the website. However we do use a shop in the lovely town of Ardres (see address below) for you to collect your wines. Simply indicate that you intend to pick up your wines when it comes to the payment part of checking out.

For anyone in the UK, Belgium or Holland who wishes to benefit from the lower rates of duty, 0.025 € per bottle (compared to 1.95 € per bottle in the UK as of February 2008), you are obliged to collect your own wines. You can equally make an appointment if you require further help selecting your wines while in France.
Q: What areas do you deliver to?
A: We send wine to mainland France (including Corsica). The neighbouring countries of France including the UK (please note the duty must be paid if the order is sent by the delivery service). Any other countries contact us and we will quote you a price.
Q: What is the cost of delivery?
A: Blakeneys pays for part of the delivery and there is a part that we charge you, these charges are shown below:

Q: How long will it be getting delivered?
A: The average time for a delivery is 8 working days. In busy periods, like before Christmas we will notify you of any delays.
Q: How will I know if my order has been sent?
A: An email will be sent the day your order leaves.
Q: What happens if I receive my order any there is something missing or broken?
A: Customer service is our priority. For us to be able to redress any problems you will need to follow the procedure outlined in the Conditions of Sale.
Q: Can I return anything that does not suit me?
A: Yes, according to legislation governing internet sales as long as the item is, not opened and in tact you may return your order. You must be in contact within 7 days via the email address. We will then notify you on how to return your item. A reimbursement will be made within 4 weeks. A deduction will be made to cover the transport costs.
Q: Will I get an invoice with my order?
A: Yes an invoice will be sent with your wines.

Gift Vouchers
Q: Why buy a gift voucher?
R: Simple and practical, the gift for friends who have everything or whose tastes you’re not sure of. Give them a voucher – all the pleasure of choosing without the pain of paying.
When you select a gift voucher, a confirmation box will appear in the right hand column of your shopping basket.
Q: How to send your friend gift vouchers ?
R: This box will show the value of the available gift vouchers which can easily be sent to your friends by email.
You will be able to access the vouchers by a link which can be found in the right column at the bottom of the shopping basket (this link will only appear if you have gift vouchers in your account).
In order that you friends can use them you will need to specify the following:
- the name of your friend.
- his or her email address.
- the amount you wish to send him or her (it does not have to be the total amount in your account).
- and if you wish to leave a message that will appear in the email.
You will then be asked to verify the information, which can be still be changed at this point, before sending the email.
Q: How to make a purchase with Gift Vouchers?
R: You can make a purchase with Gift Vouchers when it comes to choosing your mode of payment. If the total amount goes above the value of the Gift Voucher you can chose another method of payment to make up the difference. If the total is under the amount of the Gift Voucher the remaining value of the Gift Voucher will be available for future purchases.
Q: How to activate a Gift Voucher?
R: If you receive a Gift Voucher by email it will include the name of the person who sent it as well as a short message.
In order to use your Gift Voucher you have to click on the link provided in your email, if you do not already have an account with Blakeneys you will need to create one. After confirmation from Blakeneys you will be able to use the Gift Voucher on the site. A link will be available straight away for you to activate the Gift Voucher.
