If you dessert at the end of the evening is a soft chocolate cake then you must serve a Maury - apparently the favourite wine of Lawerence of Arabia.  It is simply the wine to have especially if you accompany it with a cherry sauce.  And the Maury by Caroline Bonville est perfectly suited to do the job.  All you need to do is smell the aromas to know you have made the right choice, there are black cherries, bramble, chocolate and spices.  The colour is an inviting dark red.  It is not too syrupy so it could be served with a foie gras fried and served with figs.  Super.
