A dark purple colour with hints of ruby.  This has a subtle aroma, there is a gentleness in the combination of smoky cedar, blackcurrant and dried fruit.  Unlike the nose the palet gets a good going-over.  There is fruit by the bucket with good helping of spice.  This Bordelais grape has found a new home in Australia which is in fact encouraging a renaissance back in France
