This wine is from a part of the Colchagua Valley known as Marchigue where the soil is, unlike much of Chile is glacial and volcanic which helps produce wines with solid tannins and well structured. If you like your powerful wines then you will love this one. The colour with the hints of violet show that the vinification is modern as is the maturation. The aromas open with black cherry that leads on to cassis and bramble and vanilla. The finish is smooth and firm with a lovely oakiness. Serve with some red meat which has been lightly spiced.
